Programme Delivery

The programme is delivered through weekend lectures and seminars online, in Germany and London, and allows students to continue their careers while studying.

The programme content is taught in a compact format over a small number of weekends. In the second year of the programme, students also write their Master's thesis (research project) of 15,000-20,000 words. The total programme duration spans 18 months.

At the European College of Business and Management, we use the modern "blended learning" teaching method to design the degree programme. Blended learning combines different learning styles, including distance learning, self-study and classroom teaching. This enables students to easily integrate the Master's programme into their everyday working life. The block seminars at the ECBM offer a variety of learning opportunities. They use case studies, group work, business simulations and discussions to teach the material.

Course Content

  • Strategic Change Management
  • Strategic Leadership and Management
  • Financial Principles and Techniques for Strategic Managers
  • Strategic Marketing Management

In the second and third semesters, two of the four available specialisations are additionally taught:

  • Ethics for Business
  • Integrated Marketing Communications
  • Managing Human Resource Strategy
  • Global Corporate Finance and Governance

To prepare for the Master's thesis, students complete the module 'Research Methods for Managers'.

In the second year of study, students will complete their Master's thesis, which involves a research project of 15,000 to 20,000 words.
